SANDWICH WEEK!!

yeah!
neighbors,
i came home,
and i got crackin' on some cookery.
yes.
i did that,
and i did it super hard,
and it was molto expert.
real talk.
yesterday was world vegan day?
that's cool.
but EVERY day is vegan day in my mutha-b!tchin' world.
believe it.
my dinner, though?
hey now, kids,
you'd best believe it was fully poppin',
and it went to eleven in a rapid escalation of active participation.
check the teleport:
one really-real ferocious tofu barbecutioner for my mouthpiece!
rad!
a pan-toasted buttered organic wheat bun,
with thick slice pickle slabs,
and cabbagey carrot and parsley slaw on the bottom,
and fried tofu, slathered, caramelized,
and re-coated with homemade-ish barbecue sauce,
topped off with blackened fried bell peppers, and caramelized sweet onions.
duders,
that barbecutionary gravy is the TRUTH.
ugh.
and i'm a truth teller, and a real-life documentarian,
so i feel like i've gotta tell you-
i used ketchup.
i know, i KNOW-
that's what poor people do
but,
i doctored it into some new-new hottness,
and it worked like a lucky charm.
i took the base elements of some organic no-fructose jauns,
and added horseradish mustard, and g.p.o.p.,
with red pepper flakes, and thyme, and oregano, and cumin,
and sage, and black pepper, and ginger,
and then drizzled in some cholula ho' sauce,
and some liquid smoke,
and some soy sauce, and sharp rice vinegar,
and a tablespoon or so of brown sugar,
and blended it up into a baste-able brown blarpity blop
that reached the top of the heap instantly upon being exposed to heat.
word up.
and then i got healthy, kind of,
and steamed some kale,
and added on the rest of the shredded slaw-piece,
and i'll tell you-
i ate it so hard and fast, because it was so good and fulfilling,
that i almost underappreciated it for the speed in which it disappeared.
haha.
that's a thing.
dinner was good.
i attempted to get a workout in before bed,
since i anticipate shark gluttony in full force and fattening flavor all week....
however,
i laid down to do some leg stuff, and promptly fell fast asleep.
awwwwwww.
that's old man business, and i am not amused.
it'll be okay, tho, friends- i won't let one drifting dreamland escapade
define the limits of over-the-top edible incredible culinary combat
in any way shape size form or function that inhibits the prime directive-
too much is the right amount.
yuuuuuuuuuup.
that's still happening, no matter what.
*
as usual,
i was up way too early.
unusually
our time travel from yesterday didn't help one little tiny bit.
nope.
but,
i did activate some breakfast,
and you know what time it is when it's this time of the month. right?
(it's sandwich week, and that means it's sandwich time....c'mon)
yeah!
breakfast sandwich interaction is no joke.
teleport:
a cucumber veggie-baconish vegenaise lettuce tomato and alfalafa sprout sandwich,
on a toasted, seeded, potato bun!!!!
i'm nutrient enriched, and i'm ready to play exxxtra hard with my main man,
mr. crabby crabtree right about now.
***********
today is the day of the dead,
i'm tipping back a root beer,
and letting a sippy drip-drop spill for all my peoples,
pulled from my long and storied past,
most of whom've slipped away from my interlocking, overlapping world
of white mountains and warrior poetry,
holed-up and hidden up here amongst the hills of the woodsly goodsly north-
and while almost all of them are still living,
for all intents and purposes,
they're as good as dead to me anyway.
spirit and memory and absolutes,
these things create the waking world i dwell within-
today is the day,
and i still remember everything;
never quiet, never soft.....
