Monday, January 5

broken is fixed.

there've been just four befouled and besmirched days of tempestuous,
tumultuous and totally terrible tattbombin' in this brand new year...
and for the most part, it was off to a somewhat shaky start.
i mean,
there's always more of all the hard parts,
no matter how easy it starts to look....
the more you practice at enduring it. the higher the dose it'll take to do you in.
i mean it.
it's no small challenge, overdoing what you love,
over and over and over again, until you hate it.
that's the wrench turning, kids, and that's what adulthood IS.
pushing through the labyrinthine lengths of the day,
grinding away at the hours and eroding yourself in the process.
damn.
that's tough.
the thing is-
it's not ALL bad all the time,
it's just ALL really happening.
for example-
yesterday, my full moon snow day was absolutely surprising.
i walked in to a vacant and bowel-voiding vacuum
in the appointment department yesterday.
i imagine that the icy roads and windy wet weather
chased all the diaper-babies back to their hidey-holes,
and left the woodsly goodness a grey and snowswept ghost town.
mostly, that was good news-
except for the part about the movie checks looking sparse in the studio.
but,
right as the doors opened up,
my buddy beau burst in, and booked the day for big fun,
real talk, cupcake-eatin', and some surly new skin zappin'.
surprise!
yep.
proof that anything can happen on a snow day, neighbors.
a little bit of stencil, a lot of marky-markers,
and a lot of wiping away and mixing ugly colors to make something dope.
check the year-of-the-ram-god-of-war-type teleport:
yep.
purple amethyst dark crystals,
stony tooth shards.
chinny-chin pom-poms, b!tch....
i doo-doo some things sometimes.
and what's the haps in the back?
teleport:
weird horns, weirder horns.
ch-ch-chains. and fire.
that's what yesterday ended up being.
not bad.
*
so,
that's what you get when you don't get so picky about what you get.
pretty shocking news.
i am aware.
i'm sure today will be some fresh hell,
but, what would you expect.
it's NOT a snow day, after all.
i'll take the good where i can get it,
and i'll press forward through all the rest of it.
this is What Is.
what else?
nothing;
never quiet, never soft.....
